John Wheat has been a Trustee on the Hartford Art School, Inc. Board since 2006 serving on the Development/Marketing Committee and as Secretary until his appointment as President of the Board of Trustees and Corporators in 2011. Coming from a family of artists, John is a part-time artist who became involved with HAS through participation in the HAS-sponsored Monday night drawing collaborative and our annual Down and Dirty event. He is a marketing consultant and an adjunct member of the Central Connecticut State University Marketing faculty. He has a BA in History (Fine Arts minor) from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the Columbia University School of Business.
