Media Arts facilities are located in the Renée Samuels Center and include a full video production studio, video and audio computer editing lab, and a project presentation space, the MEDIABOX. A Media Library, containing more than 200 works by independent, experimental producers of video, film and new media art, is housed within the department, providing a plentiful resource for students and faculty of the School. Media Arts also shares two computer labs with the Visual Communication Design, Illustration, and Photography Departments. Since the program encourages interdisciplinary exploration, students also have access to the various studio facilities in the Hartford Art School, as well as those offered when participating in coursework in the Hartt School, College of Engineering Technology and Architecture, Cinema and the School of Communication in the College of Arts and Sciences.
