Alan Carlstrom is the Receptionist and Administrative Secretary for the Hartford Art School. It was here at the art school where he studied and received his BFA in Illustration. Throughout his professional career he has had the opportunity to work as a freelance artist exploring his passion of portraiture. He handles his subjects with sensivity while trying to capture individual personas through the use of exageration. As an educator he has had the priveledge of sharing this artistic passion through various high school programs and college level courses. As an alum of the program he understands the expectations that goes along with being an art student and an overall understanding of the college experience here at the Hartford Art School.
