Students with previous academic or art school experience may transfer into the Hartford Art School with advanced standing, provided they have had a program comparable to the one at the Hartford Art School. Those transfer students wishing to pursue illustration or visual communication design majors must have portfolios reviewed by faculty before class standing can be determined. Transfer credit and advanced standing are determined after receipt of an official transcript and evaluation by the Office of Admission.
