Hartford Art School

(Freshman & Transfer)

Hartford Art School applicants must apply through the University of Hartford Office of Admission and Student Financial Assistance.

Admission to the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the Hartford Art School is based on a variety of criteria, and all factors in the applicant’s background are considered.

Applicants must demonstrate:

1. Proficiency in the visual arts through a portfolio
2. Academic achievement as shown on official transcripts from accredited high schools and colleges
3. SAT or ACT scores

Application materials and instructions are included in the University of Hartford Viewbook, available from the University of Hartford Office of Admission or the Hartford Art School Office of Admission.

Ideally, all application materials, including recommendations, transcripts, portfolio reviews, and SAT scores should be forwarded no later than February 15 for optimum consideration.
