Financial Information

Do not let costs keep you from applying. Give us the opportunity to make the University of Hartford affordable for you.

The Hartford Art School, University of Hartford offers a unique combination of educational benefits to its students. The advantages of a multi-school university are combined with the personal attention typical of a small college. We are sensitive to the current economic situation and have a number of financial assistance programs to help make this outstanding private education affordable for families of all income levels.

Student Financial Assistance

Each year, the University awards scholarships and grants up to full tuition on the basis of academic merit, athletics, artistic talent (Hartford Art School), and performance (The Hartt School). These scholarships are available to all students regardless of financial need and applicants are automatically considered for these awards when they are reviewed for admission to the University. Recipients are notified by the Office of Admission and Student Financial Assistance in the offer of admission.

Students applying for need-based financial assistance must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We recommend filing the FAFSA prior to Feb. 1 in order to receive first consideration for available need-based funds. Our Federal School Code is 001422. The forms are available on the internet at www.fafsa.gov.
