Exploring different media has been central to my artwork, ever since my undergraduate and graduate studies at the Hartford Art School. Drawing also is a constant element in my creative process and is the instigator/motivator for all of my work, whether it is sculpture, painting or printmaking. Currently, I am involved in an ongoing collaborative project with fellow artist Joseph Byrne called Drawing Dialogue. The more than 50 drawings each of us has made since we began the project in 2003 have been instrumental to our development as artists. I have used the drawings to inform my current large-scale Oilbar paintings on paper, monoprints, other drawings, and a new group of low-relief sculptures. Drawing Dialogue will have its first extensive showing at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN in Fall 2008. The exhibition will be accompanied by workshops, critiques, and lectures. A few of my very recent exhibitions include: Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, AR; New Arts Gallery, Litchfield, CT; Paper/New England, Hartford, CT; Hunterdon Museum of Art, Clinton, NJ; and The College of New Jersey, Trenton, NJ.
