Jimmy Rhea»Sculpture Technician

Jimmy Rhea is originally from Newnan, Georgia, where he developed skills in welding, casting, and ceramics. He worked at the Inferno Art Foundry for three years as a founder, and as a freelance carpenter after completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of West Georgia. Jimmy moved to Massachusetts to attend the UMASS, Amherst, and received a Masters of Fine Art in Sculpture in 2008. His work, which is mostly figurative steel sculpture, has been shown and collected in Germany and throughout the eastern United States. Jimmy is currently teaching sculpture, blacksmithing and metal casting at the Harford Art School in Connecticut. He also teaches workshops in bronze casting at the New England School of Metalwork and metal fabrication at the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill.
