ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Cat Balco received her B.A from Yale University in 1997 and her M.F.A. in painting from the Yale School of Art in 2007, where she was the recipient of the Helen Winternitz Award for Excellence in Painting and the Gloucester Landscape Painting Prize. She has been awarded residency fellowships through the Weir Farm Trust, the Albers Foundation, the Vermont Studio Center, and the Yale School of Art at Norfolk, and her work has been noted in international publications including the New York Times and the London-based magazine Bon International. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions throughout New England and in New York at galleries and exhibition spaces including The Atlantic Gallery in SOHO and the National Arts Club. She has been invited to teach and lecture at institutions including Pratt Art Institute in Utica and Yale University's Summer Institute for Studio Studies in Pont-Aven, France.
