Ann Klicka, Undecided
Where are you from?
East Longmeadow, MA.
Why the Hartford Art School?
For me Hartford Art School was the perfect combination of a big university with small university pluses. Since the art school is independent from the actual university, you still have small intimate classes and one-on-one staffing, without loosing any of the big-university experience.
How do you manage being an athlete and an art student?
I don’t even like walking up stairs.
Read any good books lately?
On the Road by Jack Kerouac.
Did your high school art program prepare you for college?
Not really, but as long as you come into college with the right attitude it’s not hard to catch on.
What type of dinosaur would you like to be and why?
I think a Brontosaurus maybe… those are the ones with the longs necks right? Well, I’d want to be the ones with the longs necks so I could see really far.
What do you think of your teachers?
For the most part the teachers are pretty awesome. Most of mine hardly seems like professors… more like friends. It’s a very personal, yet still professional relationship.
What is/was your biggest concern when you first came to school?
I guess not being able to keep up with everyone else. My high school art program was small, so I think I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the rest of the kids in my classes.
