Saturday High School Visual Arts Program

This program is offered to high school students with a serious interest in the visual arts. Varying levels of experience and ability are welcome to apply.

Classes meet from 9am to 1pm on eight consecutive Saturdays, and are taught by teaching professionals. A fall and a spring session is held each year. Students select two classes (one from the 9am and one from the 11am listing) for each eight week session. Diverse offerings include figure, portrait and observational drawing, pinhole and black & white photo, design, metal sculpture fabrication, and portrait painting. Assignments and courses vary each session to accommodate continuing participants. Early application is recommended, as class space is limited.

Limited scholarship awards are available and are granted on an individual basis. These scholarships are for tuition only and do not include materials, lab fees or other expenses.
