SBM Foundation Pre-Collegiate Workshops

Each year the SBM Foundation provides a grant to the Hartford Art School to administer a series of four pre-collegiate studio workshops. The program brings three high schools (Manchester, East Hartford, & Rockville, selected by the grantor) to campus involving sixty students during each visit. These students and teachers have the opportunity to come to the Hartford Art School and participate in studio workshops and lectures over the academic year. Exposure to new materials, media, techniques, and ideas as well as basic life drawing skills are the key objectives. Courses are taught by Hartford Art School full & part-time faculty.
